The homes here are mostly large two- and three-storey English cottage and Edwardian-style houses dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. Smaller detached homes and bungalows can be found east of Mount Pleasant Road, including some historic houses from the late 1800s. Large custom-built homes are also popular due to the neighbourhood’s excellent shopping, dining, and parks.

Davisville Village
Davisville was founded by John Davis in 1840. He opened the first post office in the neighbourhood and served as its postmaster. John Davis also started the Davisville Pottery Company, which was the largest employer in the area for several years. In 1911, the Davis family sold a large portion of the land to the Dovercourt Development Company for residential development. Many single-family homes built between the 1920s and 1930s still stand today.
